Campus Party is an annual event that gathers in one place the communities of technology, creativity, entertainment and digital culture; looking to promote and stimulate ideas and knowledge exchange; and of course networking. It is structured based on several content areas, ranging from digital creativity to robotics, software development, modding, gaming, among others.
In every edition, participants (called Campuseros) actually live at Campus Party for a whole week and it´s a tradition that the event make tents available for them to be as comfortable as possible during their stay.
Born in Spain back in 1997, Campus Party has grown around around the world, accounting for more than 320,000 “Campuseros” worldwide based on annual editions in countries such as Spain, Mexico, El Salvador, Peru, Ecuador and Brazil. Colombia joined the club in 2008, starting in Bogota and reaching up to 5,000 “Campuseros”; and then moving to other cities like Medellin with 4,000 “Campuseros”. It´s 7th edition will be held in Cali and it´s expected to maintain same level of attendance.
Campus Party Colombia has already been responsible for creating more than 100 communities that share their contents, ideas and knowledge, not only during the event but on a daily basis.
