
Ouishare Colombia, a think-do-tank aiming to empower citizens, public institutions and companies to boost Collaborative Economy will be hosting the Bogota OuiShare Drinks. This event will be dedicated to carpooling as an innovative alternative for sustainable mobility. It will gather main collaborative consumption pioneers and entrepreneurs, who will introduce their endeavors related to this growing trend in Colombia.
For this event, Wilber Jimenez, CEO of Wheels , David Cuadrado, Founder of Movers and Andres Cepeda, Country Manager Colombia of Tripda will share their carpooling initiatives in the country.
Tripda arrived to Colombia last year, led by its creator, Pedro Meduna from Brazil. Tripda has raised US$ 11 million in two funding rounds from Rocket Internet, and acquired the Argentinian startup HagamosPool, in their quest to expand in the region. Meanwhile, Wheels is an application that allows millions of private vehicle drivers to transport friends, neighbors or colleagues, and share taxi rides. It was launched in the beginning of 2015 by young Colombians who saw the economic potential of this sector.
