Every day in Colombia we can find new projects, contests and events oriented towards supporting new IT based endeavors.

November 5th is the deadline for presenting business ideas aiming to solve real life problems and to contribute to improve extreme poverty conditions in our country. It is not only a contest, it´s a world wide collaborative consumption challenge to describe the idea in 1000 characters. Winner ideas will receive high level mentorship in order to take them to the next level. The goal is to identify 4 new sustainable and collaborative economy based endeavors in 4 specific cathegories: health, finances, education and production/consumption that could have a potential to impact millions of people.

An interesting initiative aiming to contribute to mitigate deep social issues that families in extreme poverty face every day, taking advantage of the huge potential of collaborative economy and existing social networks, or also creating new comunities in order to build colective intelligence.
