We do not approach projects with a typical consulting model. We do not take on a large study, work on it in isolation and present back our key recommendations and walk away when it’s time to execute. Lab focuses on collaborating with visionary people to deeply immerse them with the knowledge, best practices and a global network in the space.
Presentations
We have spoken to thousands of people at public events and at companies as diverse as Google, Morgan Stanley, Gartner, Microsoft, SAP, Commonwealth Bank, Lend Lease, Oracle, Optus, TED, SXSW, WIRED, and many more on a range of topics related to the collaborative economy. We are consistently ranked in the top 1% of all speakers at events we participate in, and our style is described as ‘thought provoking’, ‘dynamic’, ‘humorous’ and ‘real’.
Who is it for?
We have given more than 300 presentations corporate and public sector audiences to groups as small as ten and as large as 5,000.
Workshops
Workshops are typically a mix, of presentations and interactive breakout sessions designed to help participants start to turn insights into actionable ideas. They run from 3 hours to two full days depending on a client’s specific needs.
Who is it for?
Workshops are best with cross functional participants who are faced with a specific challenge or who want an interactive session to go deeper. We work with a range of group sizes but our general rule is no less than five and no more than 25.
Study Tours
We design and deliver annual study tours to the US and Europe to get behind the scenes of leading collaborative economy start -ups to learn first-hand and meet peers who are running these fast growth businesses. Why do they do what they do? What challenges have they faced? How do they think about brand, culture and community? It is like going backstage and getting to ask the questions you really want to ask.
Who is it for?
Senior executives, who want to see, hear and feel first–hand how successful businesses in the space are built and run. We sometimes take a group of leaders from one organization on a custom tour but also offer a mixed group once a year. We find it’s important for at least a couple of senior executives to participate in this type of experience.
Immersion Programs
Our immersion programs are an intensive exploration into the Collaborative Economy held over a 6- or 12- month period, to infuse the principles and frameworks of the movement into an organisation, and rapidly upskill internal team members to become Collaborative Economy experts. Immersion Programs are designed in tandem with our clients to maximise the learning opportunities within the organisation and can involve a combination of content sessions, networking experiences with entrepreneurs, practical projects and internal experiments.
Who is it for?
Senior executives who are responsible with figuring out how they collaborative economy could benefit their organization and impact their sector both near in and long term. Typically, 3 to 5 participants will go through the program.
